The full-day Across the Island Tour starts in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Firstly you will visit the volcano of Caldera de Bandama. From its peak, you will have great views into the large crater of the old extinct volcano, over the capital city of Las Palmas and a large part of the eastern coast.

Afterwards, you will follow to Santa Brígida, a cosy village surrounded by lush vegetation. You will explore its historical centre, learn about its history and interesting local water management.

Then you will be amazed by the impressive mountain views in Pico de las Nieves. The highest-located viewpoint of the island offers panoramas with the mysterious rocks of Roque Nublo and Roque Bentayga in the background. If the visibility is good, then you may see even the sister island of Tenerife.

The following stop will be in the picturesque mountain village of San Bartolomé. Here you will visit an interesting house museum (if opened; free entrance) and learn more about the old traditional way of life in the villages.

Later on, the optional lunch is coming in the charming village of Fataga. It is surrounded by a palm grove. The old cobbled houses with wooden balconies and bougainvillaea flowers will definitely make you feel like in another century.

Finally, you will reach the Sand dunes of Maspalomas, one of the symbols of the island situated at its southern extreme. By the lighthouse and the pond of Charco de Maspalomas, you will have 45 minutes for yourself, so don´t forget your swimwear if you´d like to have a quick swim. Afterwards, we will drive the eastern highway to return back to Las Palmas

Additionally in the village of Fataga, there is a great old traditional tavern. The guide will give you the menu during the tour and if you are interested (and hungry), you may book lunch with him. The prices are pretty affordable. You will have approximately 1 hour to spend in Fataga, so there is enough time for both lunch and exploring around.

Sometimes the weather conditions do not permit us to have any views from Pico de las Nieves for fog or heavy clouds. If that happens we would try to deliver nice views from alternative viewpoints on the way to the south of the island, where the weather is usually sunnier.
