Start: San Bartolomé de Tirajana 888 m
Finish: Fataga 600 m
Height difference: 400 m
Distance: 7 km (2 hours)
Don’t forget: good shoes, warm clothing, raincoat, sun protection, water, lunch

Before you will start the trekking you can do a little bit of sightseeing in the beautiful village of San Bartolomé. It is very interesting to visit the interesting ethnographic museum – House of The Yanez (free entrance, opened all working days).  In this village you also have a chance to have a coffee or something to eat before you set up for the walking.

At the beginning of our walk, you will ascend approximately 100 meters higher, from where you will have nice views of the settlement. The first 2 km of your way, you will follow a small abandoned asphalt road that will take you between sporadic small ranches with nice views of the countryside and of the ocean on the horizon. You won´t have much shade on our path, that is why its highly recommendable to have a good sun protector with you.

Later on you will take an old aboriginal path and with amazing panoramic views you will descend the valley towards your goal. You will pass an old water mill and finish your wandering in the charming village of Fataga. Here you can enjoy a nice lunch in the traditional Canarian tavernas and to explore the village and its art shops or wine cellar.
